Astrology Night: How to Read Your Birth Chart
Register at nook.eventbrite.com
Learn how to read your birth chart with Ipek! Upon booking, please provide Ipek with your birth date, time, and location so she can prepare and print your personalized birth chart. (send it to ipeksudurmaz95@gmail.com)
In this donation-based event, you will gain practical tools and insights to analyze your birth chart effectively. Ipek will guide you through the fundamental elements of astrology, including planetary positions, aspects, and houses, helping you understand which of these archetypal energies are active in your psyche. Whether you're a beginner or seeking to deepen your astrological knowledge, this event offers a supportive and informative environment to explore the mysteries of your unique cosmic blueprint.
Ipek is a certified archetypal astrologer. Her interest in Jungian psychology and Eastern philosophies got her into astrology in 2018. She is currently pursuing her Masters in psychology, emphasizing media and technology. She sees the zodiac as the soul's evolutionary journey rather than rigid statements about personality. She offers in-person readings, workshops, and events in Brooklyn. She can be reached at (@ouroboros.community) on Instagram.

Dance Show: Please, water the plants when I am gone
For me, dance gives meaning to my life. It aids in my understanding of our world when I cannot use words to find what I am trying to say. It is an essential part of my being, it allows me to have a deeper understanding of emotions, self-awareness, and also prepares me to be open to new ideas and experiences. It has taught me vulnerability ... the immersive dance theater piece, “Please, water the plants when I am gone.” comes out of its hiatus and back into life.
A film, photograph, and movement study based around the concept of rooting and how dance has been woven in and out of my life through my many different growing phases. As time goes on, and what feels most natural, there is no separation between dancer and self. It is what surrounds me constantly.
Please join me in exploring this concept through movement, laughter, and lots of drinking.
Two drink minimum or food order required. Please tip your baristas & bartenders!

Brooklyn Women's Writing Group
The BWWG is a space for members to work on their own projects in a focused, supportive environment, in the company of other writers. The group began in 2017 as an in-person Meetup that gathered every Sunday for drop-in writing sessions at the historic central branch of the Brooklyn Library at Grand Army Plaza. Since the Covid-19 lockdowns in March 2020 in New York, the group has been meeting virtually twice per week for sessions in that same spirit. Members are no longer constrained by geography, though most of our members live in New York. The BWWG has always been and will always be welcoming, inclusive and absolutely free.
